Recruiting for the 2011/2012 training year is now closed. But you can still contact us to put your name on the expression of interest for next years intake.
The Air Training Corps (ATC) is a youth organisation with a military
'flavour' for youths, both male and female, aged 13 to
18 years old. We parade on Thursday from 6:30pm
to 9:30pm on RNZAF Base Auckland, Whenuapai. If you wish to visit the Squadron outside of the recruiting night then you will need to phone at least a week in advance so we can advise base security of your intended visit. While driving on base remember that the speed limit is 30km/h.
The organisation is not part of the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF), but it is directed by the Chief of Defence Force, on behalf of the Minister of Defence. And is supported in partnership with the NZDF and the community.
Anyone between the ages of 13 and 15 or will be in year 9 in February 2012 is eligible to join. The membership cost is not great, with only term fees and camps
to pay for.
